Description
Paul Bernard Gobena (Belgian, 1895-1972). Art Deco acid-etched cameo glass vase. The vessel features a bulbous ovoid form with a short, flared neck and a stepped rim. The lower portion of the body bears the acid-etched signature GOBENA BERNARD P. 8 1/2″ H x 8 1/2″ W x 3 7/8″ base diameter.
Condition report:
The vase is in overall good condition consistent with age and use. Visible condition defects include several linear surface scratches and dark marks on the frosted ground. Minor air bubbles and small seed inclusions are present, which are inherent to the glass-making process. There is light shelf wear and scuffing to the underside of the base.
