Description
Keith Milow (British, b. 1945). Circular relief sculpture, The 20th Century Thames. The design consists of concentric rings of embossed uppercase names of significant 20th-century artists, including Smith, Brancusi, Magritte, Giacometti, Picasso, Moore, Tinguely, and others, surrounding a central recessed well. The reverse side features a red ink inscription that reads THE 20th CENTURY / SMALL VERSION / 1996. The piece is designed with a hollow back and fiberglass reinforcement visible through the mounting structure. 21″ diameter x 2″ deep.
Condition report:
The sculpture is in good condition. The weathered and oxidized appearance of the surface is consistent with the artist\'s intended aesthetic. There are no visible chips, cracks, or structural repairs. The reverse side shows standard remnants of the casting and mounting process.
