Description
A double-sided screenprinted plastic drawstring bag from Keith Haring’s Pop Shop. Text printed on the red side includes the artist’s name, the shop address 292 LAFAYETTE STREET N.Y.C., 1-800-KHARING, and TM. The yellow reverse side depicts a purple figure with a star-shaped head and includes the artist’s name and the website address WWW.HARING.COM. Both sides bear the printed signature and copyright of K. Haring. The inclusion of a URL indicates production during the later period of the shop’s operation or posthumous retail availability. 19″ L x 17″ W.
Condition report:
The flexible plastic body exhibits prominent horizontal and vertical creasing throughout. There are minor scuffs and pinpoint losses to the screenprinted ink, particularly along fold lines and on the red ground. General handling wear and light surface soil are present, consistent with age and the nature of the retail material.
