Description
This unique abstract work on paper by Christopher Macsisak is titled Minaret. The composition is executed in a gestural style using charcoal, graphite, and wash, featuring a prominent central black serpentine line that loops into two circular forms. The monochromatic palette of blacks and grays is accented with organic smudges of terracotta orange pastel or wash. The image is contained within a hand-drawn graphite border, with the artwork extending slightly beyond the line at the bottom. The piece is on heavy, textured white paper featuring deckled edges at the top and bottom. It is signed in graphite at the lower right. The artwork is professionally matted and housed in a thin, champagne-toned metal frame behind glass. A gallery invoice confirming the artist and title is attached to the reverse.
