Shoichi Hasegawa (Japanese, b. 1929). Pair of etchings with aquatint on wove paper, Mer Tropical and Pastoral. Both pencil-signed lower right. Mer tropical inscribed epreuve d’essai (trial), Pastoral inscribed E.A. Mer Tropical 15 1/4″ x 19″ plate size, 19 1/2″ x 25 1/4″ sheet size. Pastoral 19 1/4″ x 15 1/2″ plate size, 25″ x 18 1/2″ sheet size. Location: CR Drawer 4


Condition report:

Both prints show clearly defined plate marks and full margins with deckled edges. Minor handling wear includes light toning to the margins, faint corner creasing, and very minor surface soiling at the extreme edges. The works are unframed.
