Description
A matched pair of contemporary high-back wing-style slipper chairs manufactured by Martin Industries. Each chair features a tall, splayed back and is upholstered in an emerald green cut-velvet fabric with a swirling, marbled pattern. The chairs are constructed on exposed wooden frames with a black finish, featuring four tapered square legs joined by an X-form stretcher. Each chair includes a matching rectangular lumbar throw pillow in the same patterned velvet. A law tag on the underside identifies the manufacturer as Martin Industries of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 48 1/2″ H x 33″ W x 27 1/2″ D. This lot is located offsite in Rumson, New Jersey and will be available for PICKUP ONLY. Condition report:
The chairs are in overall very good condition. There is a small dark spot on the velvet upholstery of one chair. The velvet pile shows minor crushing and directional shading consistent with use. The black finish on the wooden legs and stretchers exhibits light surface scuffing and small nicks.
