Description
A Regency style upholstered bench featuring a long, narrow rectangular seat. The frame is constructed of dark stained wood, likely mahogany, with a reeded apron and four reeded, turned legs terminating in brass cap casters. Each corner block is embellished with a raised circular boss and surmounted by a stylized carved acanthus leaf motif. The seat is upholstered in a moss green crushed velvet fabric finished with diagonal black and white striped piping. 19″ H x 47″ L x 11″ D. This lot is located offsite in Rumson, New Jersey and will be available for PICKUP ONLY. Condition report:
The upholstery remains in good condition with no visible tears or significant wear. The wooden frame exhibits scattered nicks, scratches, and small chips to the finish, particularly along the reeded rails and on the corner block bosses. The legs show surface scuffing. The brass casters display moderate oxidation and wear consistent with age and use.
