Description
Large-format oil on canvas, Dutch coastal landscape with windmill. Signed A.H.C. lower right, dated 1964. 27 3/8″ x 70″ sight size, 31 1/4″ x 74″ with frame.
Condition report:
The painting displays an extensive and stable fine-pattern craquelure across the entire composition. There is minor surface dirt and the varnish has aged over time. The gilt wood frame shows light shelf wear and small scattered losses to the finish. The back of the canvas exhibits discoloration and moisture staining, although the structural integrity of the support remains sound.
