A central horizontal band separates these sections, decorated with a continuous Greek key meander motif. The column is topped with an octagonal platform above a capital with ringed moldings. The base consists of a stepped circular form supported by an octagonal plinth. The alabaster displays characteristic translucent properties with natural grey and brown internal veining. 40″ H x 9″ W x 9″ D.
Condition report:
Overall fair to good condition with wear consistent with age and use. The top octagonal platform shows significant surface scratching and scuffing. Visible chips and minor material losses are present along the corners and edges of both the top platform and the octagonal base.
