Description
A pair of two-light wall sconces manufactured by Florentia and handcrafted in Italy. The sconces are constructed from gilded metal, likely iron or steel, featuring a stylized sheaf of wheat motif gathered by a central textured ribbon band. Each fixture is finished in an antiqued gold leaf over a red bole undercoat. The lighting components consist of two candelabra-base sockets mounted to the rear of the central stalks, with one socket facing upward and the other downward. Both sconces are wired with brown plastic cords and two-prong plugs for standard wall outlet use. Each unit retains its original green oval foil label on the mounting bracket which reads Florentia HAND MADE IN ITALY. 32.5" H x 14" W x 5.75" D.

Condition report:
This pair is in good vintage condition. There is visible surface wear to the gilded finish throughout, particularly on high points and edges where the red bole undercoating and dark base metal are exposed. The metal stalks show minor irregular bends consistent with the handmade nature and age of the pieces. The electrical plugs are mismatched, with one sconce featuring a white plug and the other a black plug, indicating a past repair or replacement. The sconces are in functioning condition.
