Description
This Italian jewelry box by Valenti is constructed with highly figured burl wood veneer in a rectangular form. The lid features an inset silver-tone metal relief plaque depicting a floral arrangement of lilies and tulips accented with hand-applied polychrome enamels in shades of white, pink, purple, and green. The box is finished with black lacquered borders and gold-tone pinstriping. The interior is lined with cream-colored faux-suede and contains a single compartment with a padded ring roll. The lower right corner of the metal plaque bears a relief signature transcribed as Valenti. The box is accompanied by two product booklets with the text Valenti, arte e argento, and MADE IN ITALY. 2″ H x 12″ W x 8″ D.

Condition report:
The jewelry box is in good condition, showing only minor shelf wear. There is light surface scuffing to the black lacquered base frame and very slight wear to the gold-tone pinstriping accents.
