Toon Koster (Dutch, 1913-1989). Oil on canvas, sailboat in turbulent seas. Signed lower left. The painting is housed in a substantial, ornate Dutch-style frame. Sight: 23 x 35 in. Frame: 33 1/2 x 46 in.

Condition report:
The artwork is in good overall condition with a stable paint layer. There is a light accumulation of surface dust and dirt throughout. The frame shows minor wear and small nicks to the gilded surfaces consistent with age. The verso canvas exhibits minor age-related toning.
