Description
Wolmer Zier (Denmark, 1910-1990) Oil painting on canvas depicting a dynamic maritime scene. The composition focuses on rolling green waves with white foam, utilizing visible impasto to define the texture and movement of the water. The work is signed W. Zier in blue paint in the lower right corner. The painting is housed in a molded frame with a silvered finish and a textured inner liner. The reverse shows the canvas on a wooden stretcher with a pencil notation reading 11/98 and a small sticker numbered 98 on the upper left corner of the frame. Sight size: 23.5 x 35.5 in. Overall framed size: 31 x 42.5 in.

Condition report:
The painting surface is clean and in very good condition, with no visible craquelure, paint loss, or signs of restoration. The canvas is taut on its original wooden stretcher. The frame is in generally good condition with minor surface scuffs, small dings, and finish loss at the corners and outer edges. The reverse side shows no dust cover and has minor staining to the stretcher wood.
