Description
This pair of oil paintings on textured board is by Italian artist M. Maresca and depicts bustling market scenes in Venice. Both works are signed M. Maresca in the lower right corner. The paintings are housed in matching white-painted wooden frames with burlap-covered mats and blue inner fillets. The back of the left frame includes a typed biographical label. Sight: 7 x 9.5 inches. Frame: 13 x 16 inches.

Condition report:
Both paintings appear to be in good overall condition with some accumulated surface dirt and slightly yellowed varnish. The white frames show minor nicks and scattered soiling consistent with age. There is a prominent dark stain at the top center of the burlap mat on the right painting. The paper backing on one frame is partially torn.
