Description
A floor lamp featuring a hexagonal domed shade constructed with six caramel and amber marbled slag glass panels. The shade is decorated with a cast metal filigree overlay depicting floral scrollwork and is topped with a stylized seahorse finial. The lamp stand features a central barley-twist column accented by ornate cast leaf clusters and inset with small, colored glass cabochons. The piece is supported by a wide, four-footed base featuring deep-relief foliate and scroll patterns. The metal components are finished with a black and gold polychrome patina. The electrical components consist of a gold fabric-wrapped cord and a two-prong plug. 64″ H x 20.5″ shade diameter.
Condition report:
The lamp is in good vintage condition. The slag glass panels are original and appear intact with no visible cracks or chips. The cast metal finish shows age-appropriate wear, including surface oxidation, a darkened patina, and noticeable paint loss and chipping on the barley-twist stand and leaf ornaments. The fabric-wrapped cord shows minor fraying at the point of entry to the plug. The lamp is in working condition.
