Description
This pair of Victorian-style low nursing chairs is constructed with wooden frames featuring a polished light-toned finish. The design includes balloon-shaped backs and cabriole front legs, complemented by square-tapered legs at the rear. The chairs are upholstered in a beige fabric decorated with a printed botanical motif depicting various wildflowers and grasses. The upholstery is secured with a border of dark metal nailhead trim. A partial white label is attached to one chair. 37″ H x 22″ W x 17″ D. Seat height 16 in.
Condition report:
The upholstery on both chairs shows small tears and frayed holes, particularly concentrated along the front edges of the seats. Areas of light staining and general discoloration are present on the fabric. One chair exhibits a visible crack and evidence of a previous repair to the curved wooden backrest frame. The wooden frames and legs show various scuffs, nicks, and areas of finish wear consistent with age and use.
