Description
This cylindrical covered jar is crafted from fine English bone china by Aynsley in the Cottage Garden pattern. The white porcelain body features an embossed, low-relief foliate scroll design. The exterior is decorated with transfer-printed floral arrangements in multiple colors, including a central rose, daisies, and bluebells, along with a butterfly motif. The matching domed lid includes a scalloped edge and a stylized scroll finial handle. The base is marked with a blue Aynsley factory stamp that includes a crown logo, EST. 1775, Made in England, Fine English Bone China, and the pattern name Cottage Garden. 7″ H x 5″ W.

Condition report:
The jar has a prominent vertical crack running the entire height of the body from the rim to the base. There is evidence of shelf wear and minor staining on the bottom foot ring. The transfer-printed floral decoration is intact and colors are bright.
