Description
Richard Segalman (American, 1934-2021). This impressionistic pastel drawing on paper depicts the New York City skyline at twilight. The composition features various architectural silhouettes rendered in deep purples and blacks against a luminous sky layered with orange, yellow, and pale blue. The work displays the artist’s characteristic focus on atmospheric light and soft, blended forms. The artwork is signed Segalman in the lower right corner. It is presented behind glass with a wide off-white mat and a simple gold-tone metal frame. 8 x 11 in. (sight). 16 x 18 in. (frame).
Condition report:
