Description
Susan Backlinie (American, born 1946). Chromogenic print depicting the actress as the character Chrissie Watkins in the opening attack sequence from the 1975 film Jaws. The print is housed in a clear plastic protective sleeve with a black backing board. 11 3/8" x 14 3/8".
From the personal collection of Peter Benchley (American, 1940–2006), acclaimed author of Jaws, accomplished diver, and prominent advocate for ocean and shark conservation.
Condition report:
The print shows significant age-related color shifting and fading, resulting in a pale, yellowish-green tonal cast throughout the image. Visible surface abrasions and horizontal creases are present near the center of the print. There is noticeable discoloration and yellowing along the top and right edges.
