Description
Original cotton Jaws t-shirt gifted to Peter and Wendy Benchley’s son, Clay, on set at Martha’s Vineyard during the film’s production. The front of the garment is blank with a Jaws graphic on the reverse. Tagged Mayo Spruce size Youth Large 14-16 with accompanying note from Wendy Benchley.
From the personal collection of Peter Benchley (American, 1940–2006), acclaimed author of Jaws, accomplished diver, and prominent advocate for ocean and shark conservation.
Condition report:
The garment shows visible signs of age and production use, including general pilling and fuzzing of the cotton surface. The screen print on the verso exhibits minor cracking and wear consistent with age.
