Description
Universal Studios plastic Jaws souvenir drink cup. The cylindrical body features a wraparound blue and gray graphic panel depicting a shark’s dorsal fin amid splashing water. The piece is fitted with a two-part sculpted plastic lid in the form of a shark’s head. 12 1/4″ H x 3 1/4″ diameter.
From the personal collection of Peter Benchley (American, 1940–2006), acclaimed author of Jaws, accomplished diver, and prominent advocate for ocean and shark conservation.
Condition report:
The item exhibits significant age-related yellowing and brown staining across the shark head lid. Surface scuffing and accumulated grime are present on the white plastic body, particularly concentrated around the base rim. The printed graphics remain largely intact with minor surface wear.
