Description
Peter Benchley (American, 1940-2006). Two Spanish language softcover novels including The Island and The Girl of the Sea of Cortez. The volume titled Isla is a mass-market paperback published by Editorial Argos Vergara as part of the Alternativa 28 series. It features a translation by Antonio Samons and cover art by Amand Domènech. The second volume, La chica del mar de Cortés, is a trade paperback published by Plaza & Janes. Both editions were printed in Spain and retain their original pictorial wrappers. The copyright pages identify these as translations published in Barcelona in 1981 and 1983. La chica del mar de Cortés 7 1/2″ x 5 1/8″ x 1/2″; Isla 6 5/8″ x 4 1/4″ x 3/4″.

Condition report:
Both volumes show shelf wear consistent with age. Isla displays prominent age-toning to the paper and creasing to the spine and cover hinges. La chica del mar de Cortés exhibits mild tanning to the page edges and minor rubbing and wear to the cover corners.
