Peter Benchley (American, 1940-2006). Der Berg der Fische, published by Ullstein, 1982. This work is the first German translation of the author’s 1981 novel The Girl of the Sea of Cortez, featuring a translation by Gisela Stege. 8 1/2″ H x 5 3/8″ W x 1″ D.
From the personal collection of Peter Benchley (American, 1940–2006), acclaimed author of Jaws, accomplished diver, and prominent advocate for ocean and shark conservation.
Condition report:
The book is in very good condition. The dust jacket shows very minor shelf wear and rubbing at the edges and corners. The spine is square with minor softening at the head and tail. The interior pages are bright and clean with no visible foxing or inscriptions.
