Description
Peter Benchley (American, 1940-2006). A commemorative award plaque presented to the author for his documentary film Keepers of the Reef. The award, designated as The Bronze Plaque, was conferred during the 48th Annual Columbus International Film & Video Festival on October 24, 2000. Marked on the verso with a label for Scholz & Ey Engravers. 7″ H x 9″ W x 3/4″ D.
From the personal collection of Peter Benchley (American, 1940–2006), acclaimed author of Jaws, accomplished diver, and prominent advocate for ocean and shark conservation.
Condition report:
The plaque is in excellent condition with no visible chips, scratches, or oxidation to the metal faceplate. The wood-grain finish is well-preserved with sharp edges and minimal signs of handling. The reverse is clean, and the manufacturer label is fully intact.
