David Doubilet (American, b. 1946). Cibachrome print, silhouetted scuba diver in an underwater limestone cave. Pencil-signed on the lower right mat. Housed in a silver-plated frame under glass. The verso bears a gallery label for Cranbury Station Gallery. Frame: 16" H x 20" W x 1" D.
From the personal collection of Peter Benchley (American, 1940–2006), acclaimed author of Jaws, accomplished diver, and prominent advocate for ocean and shark conservation.
Condition report:
The photograph and frame are in good condition. The print shows no visible evidence of fading, foxing, or surface abrasions. The silver-plated frame shows minor handling marks.
