Peter Benchley (American, 1940-2006). First Hong Kong Chinese language edition of the novel Jaws, titled Husha Jinghun. Published by Literary Book House, Hong Kong, in October 1975. The volume features a grey pictorial softcover wrapper with the title in orange Chinese characters above a blue-tinted shark graphic. The interior is printed on standard mass-market paper and includes a preface by Liu Chenghan. The copyright page identifies the translator as Da Zhi and the printer as Wing Tai Cheung Printing Co., Ltd. 7 3/8" H x 5 1/8" W x 3/4" D.

Condition report:

The book is in good vintage condition with significant uniform age-toning and browning to the interior page block and endpapers. The softcover wrapper shows minor shelf wear, light surface scuffing, and wear to the corners. The perfect-bound spine remains intact, with observable adhesive aging and light compression in the gutter.
