Description
Pair of leather shark baby slippers. The uppers feature a medium blue top section and a pale blue lower section, joined by visible contrast stitching. The novelty design includes a dark navy blue dorsal fin accent and small dark eyes at the snout. The flexible soles are composed of tan suede leather. A fabric label on the exterior side reads Shoo La Roo. Made in Peru. 4 1/2" L x 2" W x 2 1/4" H.
From the personal collection of Peter Benchley (American, 1940–2006), acclaimed author of Jaws, accomplished diver, and prominent advocate for ocean and shark conservation.
Condition report:
The slippers show evidence of light use. There is visible scuffing and minor pigment loss on the light blue leather at the toe box of both slippers. The suede soles exhibit light soiling and matting of the nap consistent with indoor wear. The interior lining shows minor pilling and signs of use.
