Peter Benchley (American, 1940-2006). Two Dutch translations of The Girl of the Sea of Cortez and Beast. The collection includes Het geheim van de zee (The Girl of the Sea of Cortez), a 1992 Parel Pockets edition published by De Boekerij, Amsterdam. The second volume is Tentakels (Beast), published in 1992 by A.W. Bruna, Utrecht. 8 3/8" H x 5 1/4" W x 1" D.
From the personal collection of Peter Benchley (American, 1940–2006), acclaimed author of Jaws, accomplished diver, and prominent advocate for ocean and shark conservation.
Condition report:
Both volumes are in good condition with light shelf wear and minor rubbing along the cover edges and spine extremities. The interior pages exhibit natural toning and uniform yellowing consistent with age and material. The bindings are tight and the covers remain bright with no significant creasing or losses.
