Wood and paper award plaque, 1976, presented to writer Peter Benchley (American, 1940-2006) for the motion picture Treasure Dive featured on the television program The American Sportsman. Marked with a printed signature in the lower right corner. 16" H x 13" W x 3/4" D.
From the personal collection of Peter Benchley (American, 1940–2006), acclaimed author of Jaws, accomplished diver, and prominent advocate for ocean and shark conservation.
Condition report:
The paper award document exhibits overall toning and significant foxing throughout the surface. There is a small white scuff or chip along the top center edge of the wood plaque. The verso shows light surface wear consistent with age and wall mounting.
