Description
Ser Jacopo tobacco pipe, Domina 97 model. The pipe is constructed of polished briar wood featuring a prominent vertical grain pattern on the bowl and shank. It is fitted with a black tapered stem inset with a silver-tone metal letter J. The shank is joined to the stem by an ornate sterling silver band featuring a repeating embossed pattern. The shank is marked Ser Jacopo, FATTA A MANO, In ITALIA, PER ASPERA AD ASTRA, and DOMINA 97. The silver band is struck with the name DOMINA 97 and a hallmark including the number 925 inside an oval cartouche. The item is presented in a tan velvet-covered case with a Ser Jacopo dalla Gemma logo on the interior lid. 6" L x 1 3/8" W x 2 1/2" H.

Condition report:
The pipe appears in unused condition with no charring to the interior of the bowl. The sterling silver band shows areas of dark tarnish and oxidation within the recessed portions of the decorative pattern. The velvet case and interior lining show no significant wear or staining.
