Description
Victor England balance scale in cream-enameled cast iron with brass accessories. The instrument features a contoured pedestal base supporting a central beam balance mechanism. A removable, polished brass weighing pan with a pouring lip rests on a four-arm support frame equipped with black protective tips. A circular platform for placing counterweights is located at the opposite end of the beam. The scale is accompanied by a complete set of seven graduated brass weights housed in a conforming black-finished cast metal tray. The weights include 1 pound, 8 ounces, 4 ounces, 2 ounces, 1 ounce, 1/2 ounce, and 1/4 ounce units. Marked on the weight platform and weight tray Victor England. 8" H x 14" W x 7" D.

Condition report:
Good functional vintage condition. The brass weighing pan exhibits surface oxidation, spotting, and tarnish. Minor scuffs and small chips are present in the cream enamel finish, primarily located along the bottom edge of the cast iron base. The brass weights show a naturally aged patina and light surface wear. The weight tray has minor finish loss and surface oxidation. The mechanical balance mechanism is intact and moves freely.
