Late 19th / early 20th century fan. Hand painted cat wedding scene, signed Van Garden; verso with blue flowers, signed Duvelleroy. Sequined guards and sticks. Fan approximately 9 1/2"H x 13"W open. Losses to sequins on guards and sticks, creases and minor paint loss at pleats, some losses to gilt on top edge, small tear to top edge on right side, minor staining to verso. From the collection of a prominent Connecticut family.
