Wear to edges and spines, losses to leather, corners bumped and fraying, notations in pencil front endpaper volume 1 and illegible inscription on half title page, foxing to first leaves through title page both volumes.
Provenance: Harold T. Storey, London, April, 1970; private collection, New York City; thence by descent.
