Louisa May Alcott (American, Philadelphia / Massachusetts, 1832-1888). Little Men: Life at Plumfield With Jo’s Boys. First edition, 1871. Robert Brothers, Boston; Press of John Wilson and Son, Cambridge. With inscription in pencil dated 1872 on front endpaper.

Wear to boards, corners, spine; separation of front board at pastedown, discoloration to front board, fraying to spine and tears at spine, corners bumped, shelf wear, some foxing, staining and discoloration to pages.

Provenance: Cameron’s Antiques, Bar Harbor, Maine, 8/6/1972 (listed as Little Women on sales slip); private collection, New York City; thence by descent.
