Norman Cherner (New York, NY, 1920-1987). Pair of "pretzel" armchairs designed for Plycraft. Lawrence, MA, circa 1960s. Mid Century Modern lacquered armchairs in sculptural form. Plycraft sticker label with fictitious attribution to designer "Bernado" on undersides of both chairs. Heavy scuffs, scratches, marks, wear and losses to lacquer throughout both chairs. Indentation to wood on seat of one chair.
26" W x 23" D x 31 5/8" H. Seat height 18 1/4" H. Arm height 26 1/4" H. 16 lbs total.
