Theorem painting on fabric, continental village scene. Dated lower right, 1837. Two panels with center seam. Approximately 9 1/2" x 13" (with frame 12 5/8" x 16 5/8"). Fraying and tears along edges, small hole center right; chips and paint loss to frame.
