Chinese water bucket and rice pail. Chinese, Late 19th Century. Wooden black-painted bucket designed to carry rice or water. Wear around edges, cracking on base. A rice pail with black paint, painted motif of lotus flower on either side, with lidded top. Metal band and rings for support around pail. Wear to lid, vertical crack alongside pail. Bucket measures 21 1/2" H x 13" L x 13" W
