Carved Black Forest bear umbrella and cane stand. Late 19th century. Carved bear with glass eyes holding carved ring. Inset metal tray on base of stand. Large vertical splits and cracking to wood left side of bear’s head and throughout left side of body. Repairs to carved ring-form holder. Holder is loose in place. Wear and tarnishing to metal tray. Abrasions and scuffs to wood on back of bear. Scuffs, chips, and wear throughout wood of base. 11 5/8" W x 12" D x 26" H. 19 lbs.
