A 19 century Ladakh "Perak" or headdress. The headpiece is made of leather and dyed cotton. 2 silver chains inlaid with turquoise are attached to the headpiece. Additionally: 6 set Carnelian stones with approximately 80 pieces of turquoise, a bag of coral beads, and the central amulet with turquoise and a red stone. Significant bug damage to the fabric. Headpiece: 27 3/4" L x 3 3/4" W.
