March Uncurated Spring Estate Finds

After Franz von Paula Schrank (German, 1747-1835). 4 hand colored botanical lithographs from Flora monacensis. Plate 44, Tragopogon pratensis, dated 1811 in pencil lower center; plate 79, Lychnis sylvestris, dated 1811 in pencil lower center; plate 85, Orchis latifolia, dated 1811 in pencil lower center; plate 118, Datura stramonium, dated 1814 in pencil lower center. All unframed. Each sheet 19" x 15 1/4". All with notations in pencil below the plate number "Schrank, Flora monacensis, first botanical work printed by lithograph process" and dated. All with toning, foxing and discoloration to the paper, all with pinholes to the corners, creasing and minor tears to the corners and edges of all.
