Eugene Verboeckhoven (Belgian, 1799-1881). Oil on wood panel, pastoral scene with sheep and chickens. Signed and dated 1873 lower right, and with inscription dated 1873 on verso. 6" x 8" (with frame 10 1/4" x 12 1/4"). Paint loss around edges from frame, crazing, some apparent inpainting to foreground; chips and losses to gilt frame.
