Jan van Gool (Dutch, 1685-1765). Oil on wood panel, pastoral scene with cows and rams in landscape, Dutch village in the background. Signed J. v Gool and dated A1753 lower center. 9 1/2" x 14" (with frame 14" x 18 1/2"). Some dirt and discoloration visible in the sky, paint loss along edges from frame, inpainting to center right brown cow and below; chips and loses to frame, discoloration to linen on frame. Provenance: private collection, Queens, New York.
