Kawanabe Kyosai (Japanese, 1831-1889). Kyosai Gadan (Kyosai’s Account of Painting). Ehon woodblock print books, 4 volumes in blue cloth case. Each volume 9 7/8" x 6 7/8", with case 10" x 7 3/8" x 1 3/4". Outer case torn, fraying and missing bottom clasp, with tears, fading and losses to paper cover and paper lining; each volume with light foxing to covers and pages.
