Description
Pair of limited-edition Japanese tin wind-up robots from the Tin Age Collection manufactured by the Osaka Tin Toy Institute. These figures represent the iconic character Tetsujin 28-go, known internationally as Gigantor. The set includes one robot in a metallic blue finish and a second in a metallic grey finish. Both figures are constructed of high-quality lithographed tin with vibrant red, yellow, and green accents, featuring the Japanese title 鉄ä??28??· on the torso. Each robot is accompanied by its original cardboard box, internal protective cardboard inserts, and a serial-numbered Membership Card. The grey robot is identified by serial number OT04-0271 from a limited edition of 550, while the blue version is marked with serial number OT04-B0155. The packaging is marked Made in Japan and carries the copyright for Hikari Pro. These modern classics were produced in the mid-1990s to celebrate the golden age of Japanese tin toys. Box dimensions approximately 13 3/8 x 6 5/8 x 5 inches.
Condition: Items are in excellent, near-mint condition. The tin surfaces retain high luster with no visible scratches or oxidation. Wind-up mechanisms are assumed functional based on the pristine state of the keys and bodies, but are untested. The original packaging is complete and structurally sound, showing only minor shelf wear and light scuffing to the outer corners and edges. Membership cards are present and intact.
