Description
This lot features three vintage-style Japanese character figures representing the golden age of manga and anime. The first is a large vinyl Astro Boy (Tetsuwan Atomu) produced by Yonezawa Toys, copyright 1981 (Code No. 004-41167). This battery-operated figure is designed for walking and flying actions and includes a sealed accessory in its original plastic bag. The second item is a Billiken Shokai Mechanical Mighty Atom wind-up tin toy, featuring the desirable Flapping Door Action that reveals the character’s internal robotic components. The third piece is a painted polystone figure of Tetsujin 28-go (Gigantor) from the Mitsuteru Yokoyama Robot Collection by Romando (Model YT-1-3800), mounted on a cobblestone-style display base. All items include their original illustrated packaging and internal supports. These figures represent the iconic work of creators Osamu Tezuka and Mitsuteru Yokoyama. Dimensions of the grouped lot are approximately 8.5 x 6.25 x 4 inches.
Condition: Figures appear to be in good to excellent condition with vibrant color and minimal handling wear. The Yonezawa figure includes a factory-sealed accessory. The Billiken tin toy and Romando polystone figure show no significant paint loss or chips. All original boxes are present but exhibit visible shelf wear, including scuffing, creasing, and minor staining consistent with age. Mechanisms and battery functions are untested.
