Description
Pierre Du Bois (20th Century). This oil on canvas painting, titled Spring Scene, is rendered in an Impressionistic style characterized by heavy impasto and palette knife texture. The painting is signed Dubois in red paint in the lower right corner. The work is housed in a gilt-wood bamboo-style frame with a linen liner. Sight: 15 x 19 inches. Frame: 20 x 23.5 inches.

Condition report:
Visible craquelure is present in the areas of heavy impasto, notably in the lighter pigments. Minor surface dust and dirt are present on the canvas. The wooden stretcher bars show staining and expected age-related wear on the verso.
