Description
A pair of mid-century modern earthenware vases manufactured by McCoy Pottery. Each vessel features a tapered bottle form with a long, slender neck and a bulbous base decorated with vertical fluted ribbing. The vases are finished in a matte black glaze. The underside of the smaller vase is incised with the mark McCoy followed by a copyright symbol and USA. The underside of the larger vase is incised with the mark McCoy USA. Tallest height: 12 1/2 inches.

Condition report:
Both vases exhibit signs of wear consistent with age and use. There are visible chips and glaze loss on the rims of both pieces, revealing the underlying clay body. The matte black glaze shows scattered surface scratches and significant wear on the raised fluted sections of the bases and in horizontal bands around the necks. No structural cracks or repairs are evident.
