Description
A large French Country style coffee table featuring a wooden base with a warm, medium-toned brown finish. The frame is constructed with a shaped apron decorated with deep relief carvings, including a central scallop shell motif flanked by trailing foliate and floral designs. The table is supported by four cabriole legs with carved knees that terminate in whorl feet. A rectangular glass top with rounded corners sits atop the wood frame. 16.5″ H x 48″ W x 40″ D.
Condition report:
The wooden frame exhibits significant finish loss and wear, particularly on the knees and feet of the cabriole legs. Numerous scuffs, nicks, and small gouges are present throughout the wooden base. The glass top has at least one visible chip located on the outer edge, along with general surface wear and minor scratching consistent with use.
