Description
This armless slipper settee is designed in the Louis XV revival style, featuring a carved wooden frame with mahogany veneers and a central shell carving on the lower apron. The piece is upholstered in a multi-tone plaid textile with shades of green, cream, and reddish-brown. The construction includes a tight-back and tight-seat. 29″ H x 41″ W x 20″ D. Seat height: 15 in.
Condition report:
The item shows damage to the wooden frame and base. Wood and veneer loss is present at the feet and lower apron, with several large chips and missing sections. Visible cracks are present in the curved apron sections. The upper crest rail exhibits minor surface scuffs and wear consistent with age. The upholstery remains intact and in good used condition with minor surface wear.
