Description
An Art Nouveau style boudoir table lamp featuring a hexagonal paneled shade and matching pedestal base. The lamp is constructed with marbled chocolate brown and tan slag glass panels housed behind cast white metal filigree overlays. The filigree design includes beaded oval medallions and stylized foliate borders, finished in an aged gold tone. This model features a dual-lighting system that simultaneously illuminates the shade and the interior of the glass base. The lamp has been rewired with a modern two-conductor brown cord and a polarized two-prong plug. 14" H x 8" W x 8" D.
Location: 20C
Condition report:
The gold-tone finish displays significant wear and thinning throughout the filigree, exposing the grey base metal. Surface oxidation and light corrosion are present on the internal metal components, including the base plate and glass retention tabs. One slag glass panel in the shade exhibits a rippled texture distinct from the others. No cracks or chips are observed in the glass panels. The lamp has been rewired and is in working condition.
